We are looking for local applicants to become a Buyer who will schedule, manage and purchase items from our Hillsboro, Oregon office. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is highly organized and knows how to make everything run smoothly. ResponsibilitiesDuties:
1. Manage the efficient flow of materials.
2. Track deliveries, shortages and lead time changes.
3. Drive continuous improvement of purchasing operations.
4. Ensure all paperwork is accurate, complete and timely.
6. Schedule inbound shipping, and monitor receiving and incoming inspections.
7. Work with the team to ensure workload is balanced.
Qualifications
1. Minimum 4-year degree.
2. 3-5+ years’ experience in industrial buying.
3. Proficient in Excel, Word, & Outlook.
4. Skilled in MRP/ERP systems.
Skills/Knowledge:
1. Proven problem solving and decision-making skills.
2. Experience with UPS, FedEx, and international shipments.
3. Ability to work unsupervised.
5. Valid motor vehicle operator's license.
